Programmer-art.org was started in 2003 as a repository for my work in the free software world and so that I could learn about things like Linux, Apache, and XHTML. The site hosts free software programs, a small collection of my best photos, articles & tuturials, and provides free services for anyone. Other members of the community have given so much that I feel that the least I can do is give some back.
The site was originally hosted on my home machine in Germany on a measly DSL connection. Since then it has gone through several hosting providers and is now on a dedicated server that I manage, located in the United States and run by Layered Technologies.
