Adium Setup
Adium is a free software instant messaging client for Mac OS X that supports over a dozen protocols including XMPP (Jabber) and is very easy to use.
Creating the account
Add a new Jabber account by going to File -> Add Account -> Jabber in the Adium menu.
Adding a new Jabber account
Enter your desired username and our server name (programmer-art.org), then your desired password and click Register New Account. Click Okay and the account is setup.
Registering a new account on the server
From now on Adium should automatically keep you logged into your new XMPP (Jabber) account.
